Come on. Italy are the masters at diving. Robben is a big diver but the other 3 are not as bad as most.
Toni realized he was too close to Coupet to get a decent shot so he flopped. Simple as that. If this call were the reverse, Italian supporters would be calling for the Pope to intervene and have the Vatican conduct an inquest.
Look at it objectively, that was a penalty. Did he go down easily? yes. Does he often go down easily, yes. But none of that means this wasn't a penalty. Divers can be fouled too. personally, I don't think he is nearly as bad as any of the other 4 and I don't think the Italians are any worse than any other generally dark haired country (i.e., Mexico, South America, Portugal, Spain). All loaded with divers and don't confuse this version of the Italians with divers of old, they as a team really aren't that bad. Pirlo, DeRossi, Aquilani, ADP, DiNatale, Quagliarella, Camoranesi, Cassano aren't divers. Gilardino and Toni do go down often and easily, no one can refute that.
